Silk Care Guide

  • Cold Water

  • Gentle Detergent

  • No Bleach

  • No Wringing

  • Air Dry

  • Low Heat

  • Hand wash

Hand washing is the safest and gentlest option for silk. It helps protect the fabric’s smooth feel by using cool water, mild detergent, and gentle movement without twisting or rubbing.

  • Machine wash

Machine washing is convenient but less gentle. If the care label allows it, use a mesh laundry bag, cold water, delicate cycle, and wash silk separately from rough or heavy items.

Air Dry in Shade

Gently press out excess water with a clean towel, then air dry silk in the shade. Avoid direct sunlight, tumble drying, or strong heat.

Use Low Heat

Use gentle steam or low heat when needed. Turn silk inside out and place a thin cloth between the iron and the fabric.

Mind Daily Contact

Silk may touch skincare, hair products, and natural oils during sleep. Keep it fresh by washing regularly based on use.

Avoid Rough Contact

Keep silk away from zippers, jewelry, sharp nails, and rough fabrics to help reduce snags or surface marks.
